Markington is a small village nestling in the Yorkshire dales between Harrogate and Ripon. It boasts a School, Church, Shop with Post Office, two Pubs and a lively and eclectic population.
Road Condition

There has been some concern regarding the poor condition of local roads.
If you wish to report a pot hole this is the email contact customer.services@northyorks.gov.uk
Please be aware they are reluctant to do anything about holes under 40mm!

MARKINGTON CRICKET PITCH TUESDAY 5th JUNE 2 – 5 pm Free Admission

Bring your own picnic and one item to be shared at the community table
Bring a rug or maybe go all out and bring your own table and chairs etc
Tea and soft drinks will be available for a small charge
Music and dancing…if you want to, Plate and hat painting competitions
Traditional children’s games, Children’s Races, plus a few adult ones
Large screen so that we can watch the pageant live from The Thames
No glasses, please bring plastic or paper. No BBQ’s
Dress in Fifties style if you wish
