MARKINGTON CE PRIMARY SCHOOL |

|
Markington Primary School is a small rural school situated between Harrogate and Ripon, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. Pupils are drawn from the village and surrounding areas, including the outskirts of Ripon. Numbers have been steadily rising over a number of years and at present there are 62 pupils on roll. The school has had 3 outstanding Ofsted reports, one in October 2000, one in October 2005 and our most recent one in October 2008 that reported that Markington school is ‘outstanding’ in every category. The school has also featured in the DFES website “Schools in Focus”. There are strong links with the local and wider community, and with governors, and a strong partnership with parents. We strive to make our school a happy and joyful place in which to work and learn, and a place where everyone is valued and appreciated.
